Fall makes me crave hot apple cider, but it’s a very rare treat on a low carb diet.
I developed this drink after I discovered Stash Maple Apple Cider tea. It gives me that taste of apple cider that I crave without the sugar or calories.
The tea is great on it’s own with a little stevia and even some dairy free creamer, but when I want to get a little fancy and boost my nutrition, I make this recipe.
This is also a red tea containing rooibus and hibiscus, which is one of the teas I use to help me curb cravings and lose weight. I’ve lost 30 pounds in 3 months! Find out more about the benefits of red tea.
Maple Apple Cider Spice Tea
1 bag Stash Maple Apple Cider Tea
1 tsp collagen
1/2 tsp maple extract
Stevia to taste
Boil 6oz of water. Put a Stash Maple Apple Cider tea bag in a mug and add 1 tsp of collagen. I use Bulk Supplements collagen, but many grocery stores carry it. Fill mug with boiling water. Add 1/2 tsp maple extract, stevia, and stir with a cinnamon stick. Enjoy!
